Arata
Pumpkin Farm: The Arata Pumpkin Farm in Half Moon Bay is
the oldest working pumpkin farm in San Mateo County, California.
Pony rides, petting zoo, hay rides, straw maze, field trips, and
plenty of pumpkins to choose from. 6-1/2 acres of fun!

Nuevo State Reserve: This 4,000 acre Reserve is a major
gathering area for northern elephant seals, which may be seen
year-round. The males battle for mates on the beaches. The
females give birth to their young on the dunes. During the
breeding season, December 15 through March 31, daily access to
the Reserve is available only via guided walks. Advance
reservations are recommended for walks.
The Davenport Inn:
The Davenport Inn along with the Cash Store and restaurant,
offers fine dining, a friendly bar, 12 individual guest rooms
and a delightful shop with wares from around the world. The Inn
is located in a beautiful, unspoiled part of the California
coast, halfway between San Francisco and Carmel/Monterey and
only 15 minutes from Santa Cruz.
Duarte's Tavern: A Pescadero
landmark since 1894. Specialties include Cream of Artichoke Soup, Cream of
Green Chile Soup, Seafood dishes, and their famous Olallieberry Pie.

afternoon tea, five rooms with private baths. Rates are reasonable. Located 25
miles north of Pescadero in Montara. Highly recommended!
James Johnston's Homestead:
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house survived 150
years of weather, abandonment, vandalism and high winds and celebrated its
sesquicentennial year in 2005. The Johnston House Foundation, Inc. a nonprofit
501(c) (3) organization, was formed in 1971 to protect, preserve, restore and
refurbish the James Johnston House and to promote the history of the Coastside
and California.
McCormick House Inn
in historic downtown Pescadero offers ideal accommodations for families and
friends. A spacious suite of two bedrooms with shared bath occupy the entire
upstairs of this lovely historic property. They also offer an "I don't share
rate" for guests inclined toward a more private and/or romantic retreat. Their

Nancy Cuevas and her ponies are occasionally at Phipps and other places in and
around Half Moon Bay. Her ponies are gentle and sweet and are available for
birthday parties and pony rides.
Old Thyme Inn Bed and Breakfast is truly
a wonderful place for a relaxing change of pace, celebration of a special
occasion, or a romantic getaway. This rare Princess Anne Victorian home, built
in 1898, features an English-style garden with over 80 varieties of herbs and
flowers. The Inn's seven guest rooms (each with private bath) take their names

Lavender, Chamomile, and Oregano rooms.
